Paralegal

 

Job Description

As a Paralegal at GoffWilson in Manchester, NH, your primary duty will be assisting clients with the completion of applications for the immigration process. Clients include employers and/or individuals seeking visas or permanent resident status. You will maintain assigned cases by gathering information from clients, preparing petitions, and maintaining immigration files. This includes gathering all necessary information to complete immigration forms and applications directly from the clients and reviewing it for completeness and accuracy. You will also prepare document packages for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. This position requires maintaining regular contact with clients and appropriate government agencies.  Other duties and special projects may be assigned.   

 

As a Paralegal, you must have an interest in immigration and stay current on immigration issues.  

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal studies preferred. Prior experience working as a paralegal. Some knowledge of the immigration process is helpful but not required. Advanced computer skills; Excellent interpersonal skills are needed for telephone and direct communication with clients. High standards of excellence, strong attention to detail required, solid organization skills, enthusiasm, and prioritization skills are a must. Professional appearance; Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to adapt easily to change. No JDs, LLBs, LLMs, or current/matriculating law students, please. Working via telecommuting/work-from-home is not available for this position. The ability to speak a second language is helpful.
