Immigration Firm Certified to Train Human Resource Professionals
Concord, N.H. — Jan. 13, 2009 — GoffWilson, a comprehensive immigration law firm with offices in New Hampshire and France, announced today that the firm is now recognized as a Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) authorized provider of PHR (Professional in HR), SPHR (Senior Professional in HR), and GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) continuing education credits. As an HRCI provider, GoffWilson, P.A. will now offer PHR, SPHR, and GPHR continuing education credits for general Immigration education as well as I-9 Compliance, and Worksite Enforcement training. Nearly 95,000 HR professionals hold professional designations certified by HRCI, and every 3 years, they are required to accumulate 60 hours of approved continuing education credits.
I-9 Compliance and Worksite Education are timely and critical for all employers and professionals in the human resource field. In the last several years, the government has increasingly sought to control illegal immigration into the United States by targeting the employers of undocumented workers. Even employers who do not knowingly hire such workers, or whose work force does not include a large percentage of foreign nationals, face potentially costly government sanctions if their Form I-9 Verification System is found to be inadequate. The need for education and training is glaring. GoffWilson offers such training and education to Human Resource professionals from an array of backgrounds and will now award HRCI credit.
John R. Wilson, President of GoffWilson, and a member of the Global Panel of the national Society for Human Resource Management states, “I have worked with experts from around the country to promote awareness and educate top professionals on Immigration topics such as I-9 Compliance and Worksite Enforcement. The feedback we receive from these presentations is very much the same– Human Resource professionals currently do not have access to this type of all-inclusive education and training. Education on these topics is critical.”
As 2009 brings changes to Immigration Laws, GoffWilson will hold an intensive training that educates Employers and Human Resource Professionals on changes in Immigration including I-9 Form and E-Verification.
