P-1 Artists and Athletes Visa

P visas are more appropriate for group artists entering the US on trips of limited duration. The P-1 category is available for internationally known athletes, individually or as part of a group or team, and entertainment groups (not individuals). P-2 aliens are performing artists under a reciprocal exchange program. P-3 foreigners are culturally unique entertainers. The P-4 category allows the dependents of the foreigners in all other categories to enter the US. Admission in all P categories is limited to a specific performance, competition, event, or performance, which may include an entire season of performances. All P aliens must maintain a foreign residence that they do not intend to abandon.
